God Has A Plan For Your
Life
by Taffy Gooch
God has a plan. He has always had a plan. He began working His plan before the foundation of the world, and He has never deviated from it
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before
him in love. Eph 1:4
You and I are an integral part of that plan. We, as Christians, have been given the awesome privilege of being used by God, as He accomplishes His will on the earth. All God is looking for is a willing vessel.
Throughout the Bible we see how God used willing vessels to accomplish His plan. It was a willing Moses who led the Israelites out of bondage. Obviously, Moses wasn't perfect and he made mistakes, but he was willing, and that was what God was looking for. Moses was faithful, obedient, and willing to act on God's Word. During the time of Moses, God manifested His power on behalf of the children of Israel in such supernatural ways that they were unquestionably regarded as His people. Likewise, as far-out as it may sound, we can command the respect of the world because of
God's manifest power in our lives.
God needs faithful people who will be obedient to His voice. Just as it was for Moses, God needs someone who will dare to act on His Word. He needs someone who will stretch out his hand in the earth and command the will of God to be done!
God is looking for someone who will accept His Word for what it says, and then be bold enough to act on it. That's easy enough to say, but is significantly more challenging when called to act upon it. We may feel insignificant when it comes to carrying out God's will.
"After all," you might say, "Who am I to pray for the sick and see them
recover?" You are the righteousness of God! That's who you are. Christ himself told us that greater works than these shall you do.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name ,that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. John 14:12-14
We must remember we are just the instruments. He is the power and the force! Obviously it takes boldness to act on God's Word. I like to think of it as faith in action. Faith is acting on God's Word, regardless of what our eyes see, our ears hear, or our senses feel. Faith is saying,
"let God be true, but every man a liar." Rom 3:4
We must determine in ourselves to walk every day by faith and not by sight. 2 Cor. 5:7. We must get to the place that when we get in trouble, we turn to the Word. To learn to stay out of trouble we turn to the Word. If sickness tries to rise up against us, we turn to the Word. To learn to stay in health we turn to the Word. At all costs the Word must become first place in our lives. When we are convinced in our spirit that God's Word is final authority, He has all He needs to work through us. I am totally convinced that those who know how to depend on His Word will be the ones to accomplish His move on earth. God tells us He will pour out His spirit on all flesh.
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. Joel 2:28-29
He will use us to do so. We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, ordained of God unto good works. Eph. 2:10. We have the Holy Spirit, and God Himself abiding on the inside of us. That's why he can use us.
You may be thinking to yourself that there is no way you can be used by God. You are convinced that you don't have any abilities that would be useful to Him. Remember God in not looking at your abilities; He is looking for your availability. In God's sight no one is expendable! We are all vessels He wants to use. Foremost, we must work on fine tuning ourselves so that we walk more in the spirit and less in the flesh.
Faithfulness is the key. I'm sure you've heard the old saying, "Good help is hard to
find." That's exactly what God is saying. There are too many people in the body of Christ who are not willing to be faithful to the call. They don't see it as being unfaithful though; instead they just make excuses why they aren't the best person for the job at hand. God needs us. God is looking to show Himself strong toward the heart of those who are perfect toward Him.
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the
whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. 2 Chron 16:9
Perfect, in this verse means, "loyal, devoted, dedicated, consecrated,
faithful." If you want a stronger anointing of God's power on your life then become more: loyal, devoted, dedicated, consecrated and faithful to His cause. Just be obedient and He promises to show Himself strong on our behalf! It is then that we can expect the manifest power of God to work through us. When you look at it that way there's no way we can fail when we are on the
God side. |
